Pengertian Present Perfect Tense

Present perfect tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu aksi atau situasi yang telah dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berlanjut sampai sekarang atau telah selesai pada suatu titik waktu tertentu di masa lalu namun efeknya masih berlanjut.

Present perfect tense untuk menunjukkan bahwa suatu aksi terjadi berulang kali dimasa lampau (adverb of number dapat digunakan).She has called you three times.
(Dia sudah meneleponmu tiga kali.)
Present perfect tense untuk mengungkapkan aktivitas atau situasi yang dimulai pada masa lampau kemudian dilanjutkan sampai sekarang (belum selesai).I have lived in Cilegon for 3 months.
(Saya telah tinggal di Cilegon selama 3 bulan.)
She has studied in French since April.
(Saya telah sekolah di Perancis sejak bulan April.)
My brother has worked already/lately/ up to now.
(Saudaraku sudah bekerja sampai sekarang.)
Present perfect tense untuk membicarakan event yang baru saja terjadi (adverb “just” dapat digunakan).I’ve just sent you an email.
(Saya baru saja mengirimkan kamu email.)
The rain’s just stopped.
(Hujan baru saja berhenti.)
[the rain’s = the rain has; lihat contraction & apostrophe]

**Keterangan waktu yang digunakan untuk Present Perfect tense adalah yang menerangkan bahwa pekerjaannya baru saja selesai seperti: just now (baru saja), already (sudah), yet (sudah) dan juga keterangan waktu yang menunjukkan sudah berkali-kali atau pernah walaupun hanya sekali seperti: ever (pernah), 3 times (3 kali) dsb.

 

Contoh Kalimat Present Perfect Tense.

  1. Don’t blame me if he hits you, I have warned you many times not to touch his girl.
    (Jangan salahkan aku jika dia memukulmu, aku telah memperingatkanmu berkali-kali untuk tidak mendekati ceweknya).
  2. The show has already started, you will be late if you go one hour later.
    (Pertunjukan telah mulai, kamu akan terlambat jika kamu datang 1 jam lagi).
  3. I have fixed this car three times, but no changes.
    (Aku telah memperbaiki mobil ini 3 kali, tapi tidak ada perubahan).
  4. Roney has ever visited his fans in Indonesia once.
    (Rooney pernah mengunjungi penggemarnya di Indonesia sekali).
  5. Don’t worry the snake is death, I have killed it just now.
    (Jangan khawatir ularnya sudah mati, Aku sudah membunuhnya barusan).
  6. Jessica has passed away five minutes ago when the medical team brought him to the hospital.
    (Jessica telah meninggal 5 menit yang lalu ketika tim medis membawanya ke rumah sakit)

 PERBEDAAN "SINCE AND FOR"

Both Since and for are used as time expressions with the present perfect and present perfect continuous tenses to express how long has occurred. There are important differences in the choice between the two words which you can learn below.
Since vs. For with Present Perfect
Since is used with the present perfect to express that something has happened since a point in time.
Examples:
I've lived here since 1999.
She's been working hard since two this afternoon.
For is used with the present perfect to express that something has happened for a period of time.
Examples:
I've worked at this job for 10 years.
Peter's been playing tennis for two hours.
